Dispatch and accounting in one integrated platform
Axon Software's value proposition is simple: why integrate dispatch with accounting software when you can have both in one platform? The Edmonton-based company has built a TMS with full accounting capabilities baked in — general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, settlements, fuel tax, and financial reporting.
For carriers who want to eliminate the QuickBooks sync headaches, Axon delivers. The settlement module is particularly strong, handling complex driver pay scenarios, owner-operator settlements, and multi-leg billing. Cross-border US-Canada operations are well supported.
The trade-off is that by building everything in-house, Axon's individual modules aren't best-in-class. The dispatch interface feels dated, analytics are basic, and the integration ecosystem is limited compared to API-first competitors.
Axon Software makes sense for mid-size carriers who specifically want dispatch and accounting unified in one platform. But for most carriers, using a modern TMS like Strivie with a QuickBooks integration delivers better dispatch, better analytics, and a better user experience — while still keeping accounting clean.
